Daish’s Coaches is looking for experienced and customer-focused Coach Drivers to join our growing team. If you are passionate about providing safe, reliable and professional passenger transport services, we would love to hear from you.
As a Coach Driver, you will be responsible for delivering a safe, comfortable and enjoyable journey for our customers while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety and customer care.
Key Responsibilities- Safety & Vehicle Standards
- Carry out mandatory daily vehicle walk-round safety checks using the Tru Check App
- Ensure vehicles are clean, tidy and roadworthy before service
- Report vehicle defects or equipment issues promptly
- Comply with all company policies and road transport regulations
- Follow all driving hours, rest period and Working Time Directive regulations
- Maintain a safe and tidy driver cab area at all times
- Report accidents, incidents and safety concerns using company procedures
- Understand and follow emergency and evacuation procedures
- Customer Service
- Assist passengers with journey information, comfort stops and travel updates
- Support elderly, disabled and vulnerable passengers where required
- Load and unload passenger luggage safely and professionally
- Conduct luggage label checks to ensure correct transfer handling
- Maintain a courteous, friendly and professional manner with customers and colleagues
- Driving & Operational Duties
- Drive company coaches safely, legally and professionally
- Stay informed about road closures, diversions and traffic updates
- Report road incidents and delays to the traffic office promptly
- Report for duty on time, in full uniform and with the correct equipment
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures and DVSA regulations
- Training & Development
- Attend Driver CPC, Health & Safety and other mandatory training
- Participate in company development programmes
- Maintain awareness of the Driver Information Pack and Driver Handbook
- Contribute ideas to improve services and operations
- A valid UK PCV/PSV (Category D) Licence
- Full Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Minimum 2 years’ experience driving coaches or buses
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- No more than 6 penalty points on licence
- A professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
- Drivers may be subject to alcohol and breathalyser testing
- Company uniform must be worn and maintained to a high standard
- Drivers must not report for duty while overtired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Coaches must not be moved before 7:00am while on resort locations to comply with local noise regulations
