Description

Purpose of Role

Your role is to rehearse for and deliver the theatrical content of live-action performances/ immersive experiences across Kynren – The Storied Lands. Trick Riders will perform in the show The Trusty Steed as well as supporting the other performances throughout the park. They will help bring stories to life in all ways relevant to their skills, whether it's choreography, staged combat, stunt work or animal care. You will work collaboratively with fellow performers, creative teams and animal cast, ensuring safe, dynamic and engaging performances. This seasonal role requires commitment to rehearsals and a high standard of professionalism in every show/ immersive performance.

  • Embody the Kynren Spirit at all times, maintaining professionalism, positivity and a genuine smile in every interaction.

Rehearsal and Performance

  • Attend and actively participate in all scheduled rehearsals, training sessions and performances.
  • Learn, retain and accurately perform choreography, combat sequences, stunts and blocking as directed. Be open to choreography and role changes throughout the season.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality performances across multiple live shows, interactive performances and park locations.
  • Work safely and confidently with animals and horses, following all guidance from the Head of Cavalry and animal handlers.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow performers, technical management and creative teams.
  • Be ready and willing to take part in immersive and guest-interaction based performance, including Character Meet and Greet.
  • Participate in setting up the performance space including all non-technical effects before each show, and closing it afterwards.
  • Maintain performance standards throughout the season, adapting to notes and changes as required.
  • Uphold health, safety and welfare procedures at all times, including wearing a helmet during rehearsals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality and preparedness at all times.
