As an Accommodation Manager at Mezzino Limited, you will be a proactive self-starter with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
You will oversee the daily operations of a student accommodation site, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for residents.
Your role involves maximising occupancy levels, maintaining the property's operational efficiency, and building strong relationships with students, their parents, university personnel, and external contractors.
- Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the property is secure and well-maintained at all times.
- Maintain high standards of property presentation and cleanliness.
- Conduct sales tours and show flat viewings to maximise occupancy.
- Ensure required maintenance work within the properties is reported and completed in a timely manner.
- Achieve property KPIs, including arrears, occupancy, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Maintain accurate customer information in both the Mezzino booking system and other digital or hard-copy files, ensuring data security and GDPR compliance.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly to help the overall team deliver its objectives, supporting colleagues, suggesting improvements and sharing best practice.
- Oversee summer room turnaround, including check-ins/outs and inspections.
- Assist in obtaining and maintaining the HMO license and landlord accreditation (ANUK).
- Build and maintain relationships with local universities and higher institutions, attending events such as Open Days and Housing Fairs.
Person Specification
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and familiarity with property management systems.
- Flexibility to adapt to the seasonal demands of the student accommodation sector, including occasional weekend work during peak periods.
- Strong ability to prioritise workload and manage competing tasks effectively.
- Confident in addressing disciplinary or welfare issues with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Able to work well under pressure and take initiative.
- Honest, reliable and trustworthy.
