We're looking for an enthusiastic person to work flexibly as a Kitchen Porter and a Front of House Catering Assistant. As you can imagine, it gets busy, so you'll need to be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment!
Key Responsibilities:
As a Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities are:
- To ensure the kitchen environment is kept up to the highest cleaning standards.
- Collecting and washing up pots and pans.
- Cleaning crockery, cutlery and ensuring food preparation sites are clean and tidy.
- Unloading equipment and food from deliveries.
- Ensuring the kitchen area is organised and tidy.
- Making sure work surfaces and floors are always clean and free from food and debris.
- To assist the kitchen staff with various duties.
This role will also have the opportunity to flex into Front of House. This would involve:
- Taking customers orders & using the tills
- Delivering food & drinks to customers
- Making hot & cold drinks
- Clearing & cleaning tables & the Restaurant
Skills Knowledge and Expertise:
The ideal Kitchen Porter & Front of House Assistant is someone who:
- Essential: Has previous Catering or Customer Service experience
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Is hardworking and a team player.
- Desirable: Is flexible to work additional shifts and weekends if and when required.
