Are you passionate about play and swimming? This hybrid role combines the fun of a swim teacher with Play Ambassador– we call it an Aqua Buddy. As an Aqua Buddy, you’ll be delivering swimming lessons for ages 4 months – 12 years, alongside the swim development team. You’ll receive in-house coaching and ongoing support from our swim development team to ensure every lesson reflects the playful, child-led philosophy at the heart of our club, while still delivering structured, progressive, swim-focused learning.
As a Play Ambassador, you'll lead exciting land-based activities including art, music, cooking, and general play. No need to be a professional chef, artist, or musician. It's all about the fun of the process, not the result!
Purple Dragon is a luxury private members club, providing effortless family time, all the time, for families with children up to twelve years of age.
What You'll Do:
- Lead themed play sessions and child-led adventures throughout the club and pool.
- Plan and teach swim lessons for children aged 4 months–12 years.
- Support weekly pool parties and water-based activities.
- Keep play and pool areas clean, safe and well maintained.
- Create a warm, inclusive and fun environment for children and their grown-ups.
- Work as a team to deliver 5-star family experiences.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in teaching children to swim.
- 1+ year experience working with children in settings like play, childcare, camps, sports, or arts would be great.
- A playful spirit, creativity and confidence (robot dancing encouraged!).
- Strong communication with kids and adults alike.
- Fluent English and a clear Enhanced DBS.
- Energy, organisation, and a passion for creating joyful memories.
