Location: Liverpool.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (flexibility available). Weekday evenings and shared weekend rota with additional pay.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day operations and maintain "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted standards.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), protecting children from harm and ensuring staff are trained.
  • Maintain rigorous records and lead quality of care reviews and independent visits.
  • Recruit and mentor staff, support them through required qualifications and professional appraisals.
  • Work closely with social workers and local authorities to advocate for the best interests of every child.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or working towards it; and Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare.
  • At least 2 years in regulated children's residential care and 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Deep understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
  • Strong leadership skills and a Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Eligible for enhanced DBS check, employment history verification, and safer recruitment procedures.
