A well-established and growing wealth management practice is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner looking for genuine flexibility, with candidates based anywhere in Scotland considered. The role can be predominantly remote, with some office attendance required at either the Edinburgh or Stirling office, depending on location and preference.
You will join an established Paraplanning function, providing high-quality technical support throughout the financial advice process. Working closely with Financial Advisers and Administrators, you will undertake detailed research and analysis across a broad range of financial planning areas, including investments, retirement planning, tax and estate planning.
The role will see you producing accurate, well-reasoned client reports and supporting documentation, while ensuring recommendations are thoroughly researched and tailored to each client's individual circumstances and objectives.
You will also act as a key point of reference for technical queries, helping to ensure business is processed accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements. Maintaining high standards across CRM and back-office systems will also form an important part of the role.
The practice is committed to providing a high level of service and delivering comprehensive investment and retirement planning solutions designed around clients' long-term financial goals.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within financial planning or wealth management
- Strong technical knowledge and excellent report-writing skills
- Broad understanding of financial planning disciplines, including investments, retirement planning, tax and estate planning
- Experience preparing client review documentation and supporting Financial Advisers throughout the advice process
- Experience updating cashflow models, producing investment performance reports and preparing supporting discussion documents
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with financial planning and research tools such as Voyant, Analytics or equivalent
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage work accurately and efficiently
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Advisers, Administrators and wider teams
