They provide high-quality services to clients across the UK and Ireland, including neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for adults and children, as well as expert witness assessments for courts, parole boards, criminal/prison law, family law, immigration law, and medico-legal cases. They have a proven track record of delivering high-quality assessments and fulfilling health service contracts.The RoleThis is a dynamic, full-time opportunity for a team leader in a bustling service, delivering essential evaluations for families and individuals. The hybrid position, based in the new location, is ideal for a qualified clinician to manage a team within our client’s neurodevelopmental assessment group, focusing on adults and children referred for autism and/or ADHD evaluations through public health service patient choice programs and general practitioners.Our client is seeking a team leader to oversee a diverse group of professionals, including psychologists, speech and language specialists, occupational therapists, paediatric specialists, and support staff, at their new facility in a northern UK town. This role involves joining a leadership team tasked with managing in-depth, specialized evaluations, including diagnostic assessments for individuals potentially on the autism spectrum or with ADHD, using recognized diagnostic tools. These services are provided through a public health patient choice program.Key duties include supervising the multidisciplinary team, serving as the primary contact for daily operational matters, and ensuring a thorough understanding of all evaluation resources to effectively guide clinicians. The role also encompasses monitoring contract implementation and service delivery, overseeing the local execution of organizational strategies, and tracking performance metrics for contracts and local operations.Clinical governance is a critical component, requiring oversight of all active assessment cases to ensure clear direction, structured planning, and streamlined case management. The team leader will address clinic challenges, such as staff absences and case reallocation, while supporting newer team members with their onboarding, skill enhancement, and integration. Identifying inefficiencies in clinic processes, creating new resources, and working with senior leadership to drive improvements are also essential.Additional responsibilities include escalating and resolving issues with senior management, participating in organizational events and leadership meetings, and identifying training needs for teams and individuals, forwarding these to senior leadership for further action.Qualifications

  • HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist orNMC registered nurse orNeurodevelopmental practitioner experience with specialist training as below.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Experience in conducting diagnostic Neurodevelopmental/ Specialist developmental assessments with children and/ or adults
  • Experience working with children and/ or adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for Autism and ADHD
  • Knowledge of differential diagnosis
  • ADOS-2/ ADI-R trained
  • Ideally QB Trained
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of team and service management
