About the Role
We are working with a well-established, UK-based importer and wholesale distributor to recruit an Export Sales & Logistics Co‑ordinator to join their Sales Office team in Basildon. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, fast‑paced team within one of the UK’s leading wholesale distribution businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining a portfolio of offshore accounts, providing essential support to field‑based Account Managers, and ensuring the highest levels of customer service are delivered across all export operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining a portfolio of offshore accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day enquiries
- Providing sales and administrative support to field‑based Account Managers
- Preparing shipping documentation and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
- Processing orders and managing dispatch efficiently and accurately
- Processing sample requests and managing customer bookings via phone and email
- Maintaining back orders and keeping customers updated on the progress of their shipments
- Setting up new accounts and delivery keys on internal systems
- Creating orders from spreadsheets and emails and liaising with internal departments on bookings and orders
- Booking direct containers and coordinating deliveries
- Processing paperwork for drivers as part of the wider team
- Providing support to the Team Leader and other members of the Sales Office team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in an export, logistics, sales support or coordination role
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with order processing and customer account management
- A proactive and team‑focused approach with good attention to detail
- Experience with shipping documentation and export compliance is advantageous
- German or French language skills are beneficial but not essential
