The Setting
A specialist paediatric therapy centre in the heart of London, delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to children and young people aged 6 months to 25 years with speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing difficulties. The clinic operates within a strong multidisciplinary ethos and is led by a Clinic Director who is an internationally recognised Sensory Integration trainer and practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children with a range of speech, language, communication, and feeding needs, delivering high-quality assessments and evidence-based interventions.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments using standardised tools, clinical observation, and parent and educator input.
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans with clearly defined, measurable goals, set in collaboration with families and caregivers.
- Deliver therapy sessions in individual and group settings using age-appropriate, play-based, and structured approaches.
- Produce clear, high-quality reports for EHCP, tribunal, and clinical purposes.
- Communicate therapy plans and progress regularly to parents, caregivers, and education professionals.
- Conduct online therapy sessions for clients unable to attend in person.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Educators, and Administrative Staff.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with HCPC standards.
- Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection standards at all times.
What We're Looking For
- A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (BSc or MSc), current HCPC registration, and RCSLT membership.
- Previous experience working as an SLT with children in a clinical, school, or therapeutic setting β newly qualified therapists with a strong paediatric placement history are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of child development and evidence-based paediatric interventions across speech, language, and communication needs.
- Experience or interest in dysphagia, AAC, autism spectrum disorder, or working with children from diverse linguistic backgrounds is desirable.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship may be available).
