Senior Occupational Therapist Mental Health Inpatient Services (Birmingham B20)
Full time or Part time Permanent | Salary from £36,500 – £45,000 (DOE)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected mental health care provider in Birmingham for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join one of their long-term complex care inpatient services.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic OT with a passion for supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses. The role is based at a 16-bed male inpatient unit and offers the chance to work within a multidisciplinary team focused on recovery and meaningful occupation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a range of occupational therapy assessments and interventions, including MOHOST and other tools based on service-user needs.
- Lead and coordinate therapeutic programmes, including group and individual sessions.
- Provide supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs).
- Collaborate closely with the wider clinical team under the guidance of the Head of Therapies.
Ideal Candidate:
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience in mental health inpatient settings
- Strong understanding of recovery-focused care
- Confident in leading therapeutic programmes and supervising junior staff
