Are you a passionate leader dedicated to transforming the lives of young people? RGH Global is recruiting on behalf of a dedicated provider for a Residential Care Lead to lead a residential children's home in Liverpool. Salary negotiable, depending on experience. This is a pivotal role where you will create a therapeutic, child-centered environment, ensuring every young person feels valued and supported to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will hold overall accountability for the leadership and regulatory compliance of the home. Your mission is to deliver high-quality, nurturing care that promotes stability and positive outcomes.

Location: Liverpool

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (flexibility available)

On-Call: Weekday evenings for your home, plus a shared weekend rota with additional pay

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Manage day-to-day operations and lead a professional team to maintain "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted standards.
  • Safeguarding: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), protecting children from harm and ensuring all staff are expertly trained.
  • Compliance: Maintain rigorous records and lead quality of care reviews and independent visits.
  • Development: Recruit and mentor staff, supporting them through required qualifications and professional appraisals.
  • Advocacy: Work closely with social workers and local authorities to advocate for the best interests of every child.

What You'll Need

  • Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it), and a Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in regulated children's residential care and 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
  • Requirements: Strong leadership skills and a Full UK Driving License.
