The Role

RGH-Global is seeking compassionate and energetic Support Workers to join a dedicated team in Leicester. We are looking for individuals who believe that care is not "one size fits all" and are ready to help adults with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs lead independent, purposeful lives. In this role, you will be more than just a caregiver; you will be an advocate and a mentor, assisting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge to achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Empowering Independence: Supporting daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, and medication management.
  • Personal Care & Wellbeing: Assisting with personal care where required and monitoring physical and mental health.
  • Community Integration: Building confidence and encouraging social inclusion within the local community.
  • Behavioral Support: Using your experience and training to safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate, up-to-date daily records, incident forms, and reports to ensure high safeguarding standards.

Shift Patterns

To provide consistent, high-quality support, this role requires a flexible approach:

  • Rotation: Includes both Day shifts and Waking Nights.
  • Availability: Must be available for weekend and Bank Holiday working.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a support or care role.
  • Resilience: Confidence in working with individuals with complex needs and emotional resilience.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-player attitude.
  • Compliance: Must be 18 or over with the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written) for effective safeguarding and record-keeping.
