We're recruiting on behalf of an established wealth management practice that's growing its advice team. They're looking for a qualified Financial Adviser who wants to focus on excellent financial planning and building long-term client relationships — with an established portfolio of existing clients and a strong support team around them. This is an employed adviser role, and the successful candidate won't be expected to build a client bank from scratch.
The primary responsibility will be taking ownership of an existing portfolio of clients, ensuring they receive a proactive, consistent and high-quality financial planning service.
About Our Client
Our client provides financial planning and wealth management advice to individuals, families and businesses, with a strong emphasis on the quality of their advice, the service their clients receive, and the long-term relationships they build with them. Their advisers are supported by experienced paraplanners, administrators and specialist advisers, allowing them to focus their time where they add the most value — understanding clients, providing good advice and maintaining strong relationships. As the business continues to grow, they're expanding their employed advice capability. This is a newly created role and an opportunity to join at an important stage in that development.
The Role
You'll take personal ownership of an established portfolio of clients and be responsible for the quality of their ongoing advice and overall service experience. You'll be responsible for:
- Building strong, trusted, long-term client relationships
- Leading annual reviews and providing proactive, ongoing financial planning advice
- Understanding clients' changing circumstances, objectives and financial planning needs
- Identifying appropriate new advice opportunities within existing client relationships
- Producing high-quality advice and documentation
- Working closely with paraplanners, administrators and specialist advisers to deliver a seamless client experience
- Ensuring agreed reviews and client service commitments are delivered consistently and on time
This is predominantly a client servicing role rather than one built around sourcing your own clients.
What We're Looking For
You'll need to hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent), ideally with some post-qualification client advice experience. We're particularly interested in hearing from someone who:
- Enjoys building long-term relationships and takes personal ownership of the client experience
- Cares about achieving good client outcomes and delivering high-quality advice
- Is commercially aware and confident in identifying appropriate planning opportunities
- Has strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Takes pride in producing high-quality, compliant documentation
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a wider advice and support team
Reward and Benefits
Competitive basic salary
Annual bonus of up to 10% of salary
A share of initial advice fees on all new business written
Hybrid working
An established portfolio of existing clients
Experienced paraplanning and administration support
