We are seeking a motivated and reliable Class 1 Night Driver to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work during the nighttime hours, with 4 or 5 nights available per week, providing a flexible schedule for dedicated drivers. As a Class 1 Night Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in commercial driving and delivery operations will be vital to our success, and you'll enjoy the energetic environment that values safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
Duties
- Operate Class 1 commercial trucks during night shifts, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Safely load, secure, and unload freight
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all company policies regarding safety procedures, vehicle maintenance, and cargo handling
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver background
- Valid Class 1 driving license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards for night driving
- Prior experience in delivery operations or logistics is highly desirable
- Ability to operate large trucks confidently and efficiently in different weather conditions
