The Role

We are looking for an experienced Reactive Fire Alarm & AOV Engineer to join our growing team. This role is focused on reactive maintenance, fault finding, emergency call-outs, small works, commissioning, and repairs across fire alarm and AOV/smoke control systems.

The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver with excellent diagnostic skills and experience working on a wide range of fire alarm and smoke ventilation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend reactive call-outs and diagnose faults on fire alarm and AOV systems.
  • Service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems.
  • Carry out small works, modifications, and remedial repairs.
  • Install fire alarm systems in accordance with BS5839.
  • Commission fire alarm systems and create basic Cause & Effect (C&E) programming.
  • Download, upload, configure, and fault-find on fire alarm control panels.
  • Replace conventional, addressable, and wireless devices.
  • Conduct site surveys and identify upgrade opportunities.
