The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our growing team covering Thurrock and the surrounding areas in Essex. The role involves servicing, fault finding, maintenance, compliance inspections and small works on a wide range of commercial and residential fire alarm systems. Experience with AOV/smoke control systems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and fault-find on fire alarm systems
  • Carry out small works, remedial works and system modifications
  • Replace and commission conventional, addressable and wireless devices
  • Upload, download and configure fire alarm panels
  • Complete fire alarm surveys and identify upgrade opportunities
  • Test and verify Cause & Effect (C&E) programming
  • Complete maintenance reports and compliance documentation
  • Ensure all work complies with BS 5839 and industry standards

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' fire alarm servicing experience
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience servicing commercial fire alarm systems
