Passive Fire Stopper Qualifications required for a Passive Fire Stopper: UK Driving License (required) NVQ level 2 in Passive Fire Protection preferred but not required FIRAS card preferred but not required Good communication skills Experience: * A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials * Current Trade Qualifications * Good communication skills, both verbal & written * IT literate * A commitment to great customer service * At least 1 yearsβ experience in Passive Fire Stopping. Salary: 35k-45k Schedule: * Monday – Friday 08:00am-5:00pm with 1 hour lunch break Our Passive Fire Stopper role will consist of: RGE Services supply a wide range of services for the public sector & commercial clients. We offer a prompt and high-quality service. We are able provide a tailored service to meet our customers premises. Our Passive Fire Stopper will involve working in both the social housing sector as well as some commercial properties. As a Passive Fire Stopper you will report to the Contracts Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the fire industry. Acting as an ambassador to position the company\’s reputation as a leading and respected employer. The main duties of a Passive Fire Stopping Engineer include: We are looking for candidates with previous experience working on Fire stopping/Fire Door projects: * Install fire stopping to fire doors * Use of ablative batts * Reading site plans * Ensure all work is carried out to a standard that satisfies the customer, company, and accreditations (FIRAS) * Keep the Passive Fire Protection Supervisor up to date on progress or potential delays * Adhere to the company\’s quality procedures in all aspects of the job * Act in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and requirements RGE Additional Benefits * Competitive salary relative to experience (PAYE) * 23 days holiday per year, rising to 25 days after two years of employment * Buy and sell holiday scheme * Access to a pension scheme * Vehicle + Fuel card * Company phone and tablet device * All plant tools supplied (drills, steps, ladders, heavy duty power tools) * Time and a half rate for evening and Saturday working hours * Double time for night-time, Sunday, and bank holiday working. * Weekend working available * Availability to out of hours call out rota (Β£100 standby, Β£80-120 per callout) * Flexible working approach upon agreement * Training is available to our Passive Fire Stopping Engineer to further existing knowledge where required.
