About the Role
As Passive Fire Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of passive fire protection projects. You will act as the central link between Contracts Managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring documentation, certification, and compliance processes are completed accurately and on time. This is a fast-paced and varied position suited to someone who thrives on organisation, compliance, and getting the detail right.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Contracts Managers with project coordination and administration
- Raising works orders and managing project documentation
- Scheduling subcontractors and engineers
- Collating installation evidence and certification packs
- Ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation and third-party accreditation schemes (e.g. FIRAS, BM TRADA, IFC)
- Uploading and maintaining records within contract management systems (e.g. BORIS)
- Assisting with audits and external inspections
- Issuing O&M manuals and handover documentation
- Acting as first point of contact for documentation queries
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in passive fire protection, fire stopping, fire doors or compartmentation
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Experience using BORIS or similar systems
- Knowledge of third-party certification schemes
- Understanding of UK fire safety legislation
