Contract Type: Self-Employed Subcontractor (CIS)

Location: Bristol, and surrounding areas

Rate: £200 - £250 per day (D.O.E)

Additional Earnings: Price work also available

We are currently seeking experienced Fire Stoppers to join our team on a self-employed subcontractor basis across Bristol and the surrounding areas. We have ongoing projects and are looking for reliable operatives with experience in passive fire protection works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of fire stopping systems to required specifications.
  • Batt and mastic installations.
  • Fire sealing of service penetrations.
  • Fire collars, wraps, and ablative coating applications.
  • Ensuring all works comply with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Completing works to a high standard while maintaining site safety and cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in passive fire protection and fire stopping.
  • CIS registered with a valid UTR number.
  • NVQ in Passive Fire Protection (preferred but not essential).
  • FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent accreditation experience advantageous.
  • Own tools, PPE, and transport.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
