Working in an automotive Prototype development environment.
- Provide General automotive technician support.
- Remove and replace vehicle components, including prototype components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex vehicle issues across all vehicle systems.
- Component modification and fabrication.
- Work cooperatively in a team environment with other technicians and engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Fully document vehicle repairs and modifications in a database environment.
- Parts and equipment ordering.
- Maintain shop equipment and tools.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized shop environment.
- Travel up to 20% of time domestically and internationally.
Requirements:
- Experience working in automotive development or testing.
- Experience with vehicle data acquisition systems, diagnostic tools, transducers, including thermocouples, pressure transducers, load cells, etc.
- Experience with all vehicle systems (engine, transmission, HVAC, chassis, electrical/body).
- PC Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent CAN tools and data analysis skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet time constraints.
- Excellent vehicle diagnostic skills.
- Automotive technology certification, degree, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills working in a culturally diverse environment.
