An exciting opportunity near Ross-on-Wye waits for a Quantity Surveyor to join a prominent construction main contractor on a permanent basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial success of projects, overseeing all costs and income related to the schemes, and mitigating the company's financial risks. Your involvement in this project will involve being a key member of a team, with prior experience in commercial projects being a vital asset for this position.

This position will include the following responsibilities:

  • Procurement of materials and off-site services in an efficient manner as directed ensuring organisations are capable
  • Preparation of subcontract invitations to tender and evaluate tender returns
  • Maximise cash flow through timely preparation of valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of payment
  • Assist in the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts, including variations, claims and disputes
  • Contribute to the production of accurate and timely CVR reports and forecasts
  • Measurement of works and agreements with subcontractors
  • Prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collection
  • Translate measurement from drawings and specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates
  • Collation of Cost and Value Information
  • Preparation of Cost reconciliation statements

Requirements:

  • Degree within Quantity Surveying or construction related
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Packages
  • Extensive experience of working on live projects and final accounts
  • Exposure to resolving disputes
  • Ability to negotiate with clients/sub contractors and draft sub contracts
  • Successfully completed a number of final accounts
  • Relevant driving licence
  • SC Clearance
