This permanent Technical Coordinator role with RGB in Exeter supports technical managers across residential schemes in the South West, helping deliver quality homes in desirable locations. Working largely from the office with regular site travel, the successful candidate will assist with coordination and, depending on each development's stage, progress towards running their own sites. A proven background supporting or managing residential schemes is essential. Strong organisational, communication and IT abilities are needed, alongside the confidence to liaise with colleagues, contractors and consultants.
The position offers a salary of £35,000 to £55,000 per annum plus full package and benefits, joining a business with achievable growth plans. Working in an experienced and dynamic team you will work alongside the technical manager. A proven background supporting or managing residential schemes is essential. The role is largely office based with regular travel to site.
To compliment their existing team with an additional coordinator, to support technical managers and also work towards running their own sites depending on what stage the development is at. The company have ambitious yet achievable growth plans and would like to bring in the additional staff to future proof the department and hopefully train up the next generation of technical managers over the coming years.
You will work closely with experienced Technical Managers on 1 -2 sites located in the local areas. As the technical coordinator will be involved in projects from design stage through to post completion. You will assist with managing engineering and working drawing packages with the aim of building homes to a high standard whilst obtaining all necessary technical approvals. You will support the TM with projects to ensure deadlines are met.
Attributes and experience required:
- Proven experience working in a similar role (technical coordinator, design coordinator or relevant)
- Experienced within the house building sector
- Good technical knowledge
- Good understanding of the planning process
- Good knowledge of section agreements including 104 and 38
- Confident in supporting on large sites
- Organised
- Commercially aware
- Strong communicator
- Excellent IT skills
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Driven and self motivated
