We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join a dedicated Adults & Families service based in Truro. This is a rewarding opportunity supporting vulnerable adults within a community-focused environment.

Please note there will be an expectation to cover additional schemes across Cornwall, therefore applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

The Role
  • Supporting individuals with a variety of support needs
  • Delivering person-centred support and support planning
  • Risk assessing and managing challenging situations
  • Maintaining accurate records and case notes
  • Lone working as well as working collaboratively within a team
  • Building positive relationships with service users and partner agencies
Requirements
  • Experience within support work, housing support, social care or similar settings
  • Understanding of support planning and risk management
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills
  • Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to work under pressure
  • Flexible approach to shifts including lates, weekends and bank holidays
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Additional Information
  • Rolling 5-week rota pattern
  • Enhanced DBS required
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract
  • This role is not eligible for sponsorship/CoS
