Job Description

Transport Planning EngineerLocation: LondonSalary: £35,000 – £40,000 (DOE)Join a growing transport planning team at a leading London-based consultancy with a national presence. With 165 technical professionals across three offices, the company supports development projects of all scales—from small residential schemes to large town centre regenerations and strategic employment hubs.The OpportunityThey are looking for an experienced Transport Planning Engineer ready to take the next step in their career. Based in their London office, you’ll be part of a 14-person transport team delivering innovative, sustainable, and accessible transport solutions across the UK.You’ll play a key role in shaping transport strategies and designing infrastructure that helps unlock the full potential of development sites.Key Responsibilities
  • Design highway junctions (e.g., roundabouts, right-turn lanes, and signal-controlled junctions)
  • Assess and review site layouts to ensure safe, efficient access and movement
  • Contribute to Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and other planning submissions
  • Undertake traffic modelling using Junctions 10; LinSig experience is a plus
  • Use TRICS and TEMPro for trip generation and future growth analysis
  • Set up traffic flow diagrams to support modelling and design work
  • Provide technical input for CAD-based work and swept path analysis
