Contracts Manager – Civil Engineering
South West | Bristol Region
£65,000–£70,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
/n An established civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to strengthen its regional delivery team across the South West.
/n
This is a senior operational position overseeing a portfolio of highways and civil engineering schemes, with responsibility for multiple project teams and the successful delivery of works from pre-construction through to completion.
/n
The role offers a good mix of operational leadership, client management and business development, working closely with project, commercial and pre-construction teams across a strong pipeline of regional work.
/n
The Role
/n As Contracts Manager, you will:
/n
/n
- Oversee multiple civil engineering projects across the region
/n
- Lead and support Project Managers and site delivery teams
/n
- Take responsibility for programme, quality, safety and overall project performance
/n
- Work closely with commercial, planning and pre-construction teams
/n
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners
/n
- Support tendering and future work-winning opportunities
/n
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective measures where required
/n
- Identify opportunities for continued growth across existing and future projects
/n
- Drive best practice and continuous improvement across delivery teams
/n
/n
About You
/n We are looking for someone with:
/n
/n
- Proven senior management experience within civil engineering, highways or infrastructure
/n
- Experience overseeing multiple projects and delivery teams
/n
- Strong operational and commercial awareness
/n
- Experience working within framework or repeat-client environments
/n
- Good knowledge of NEC contracts
/n
- Excellent leadership and client-facing skills
/n
- SMSTS
/n
- Full UK driving licence
/n
/n
