RGB Recruitment are delighted to be working with a highly regarded structural engineering consultancy which requires a senior structural engineer to join their busy and talented team in Bristol. This local business has offices across the country and has a superb reputation for innovative and sustainable design. This position would suit someone already at a senior level or someone who is looking for the next step up.

Among other disciplines, the Bristol office covers structural and civil engineering and a senior candidate is required to develop and lead a team of engineers and technicians. Please see below for examples of responsibilities:

  • Actively involved in delivering projects
  • Point of contact on key accounts and clients
  • Delegating work to the team
  • Maintaining client relationships
  • Hands-on design responsibility
  • Checking work
  • Running team meetings
  • Have input on critical decisions for the team

This business is involved in projects including high rise buildings, hospitals, residential developments, schools, student accommodation and commercial buildings.

Ideally candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Chartered or approaching with the IStructE or ICE
  • Extensive background in structural engineering
  • Good technical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Varied project portfolio

As well as a company pension, this role comes with a competitive salary ranging between £48,000 and £55,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, as well as a pension and the option to work from home 2/3 days a week.
