Quantity Surveyor Location: Newton Abbot, Devon Contract: Full-time | Permanent We’re looking for a skilled and driven Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a large-scale public sector project that plays a vital role in shaping long-term community infrastructure in South Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a technically complex scheme, gaining hands-on experience in a secure environment where precision, collaboration, and commercial insight are essential to success. As a Quantity Surveyor on this project, you’ll take ownership of key commercial responsibilities, ensuring value, compliance, and high standards from procurement through to final account. Key Responsibilities: Manage subcontractor procurement, payments & reporting Provide timely, accurate input into CVRs Support change control and risk mitigation alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor Conduct site measurements to support subcontractor payment applications Capture and cost all project variations with design/site teams Prepare information for client payment applications Offer commercial guidance to the wider project team What we’re looking for in a Quantity Surveyor: Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying Main contractor experience – ideally on education or public sector projects Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts Full UK driving licence Based in the Southwest and able to travel to Newton Abbot and surrounding sites This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to be part of a forward-thinking team working on a project that will make a meaningful, long-term difference to the community.
