An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior MEP Revit Technician / Engineer to join a growing, sustainability-focused building services consultancy based in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to develop within MEP Building Services, BIM and Revit design. The business works across a diverse range of sectors including education, healthcare, commercial, residential and retrofit projects, delivering practical, sustainable and energy-conscious engineering solutions.
This role would suit a recent college leaver, graduate, apprentice, junior technician or someone already working within the construction industry who is looking to transition into MEP Building Services design.
The Role
The successful Junior MEP Revit Technician / Engineer will support the production of MEP Revit models and technical drawings while working alongside experienced engineers on live project delivery. This is a development-focused role where you will receive ongoing support, mentoring and hands-on project exposure to help build your technical skills across MEP engineering, BIM coordination and sustainable building design.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the production of MEP Revit models and technical drawings
- Assisting engineers with mechanical, electrical and public health design information
- Learning how building services systems are coordinated within buildings
- Supporting BIM coordination and helping maintain project models and drawing standards
- Assisting with project documentation and technical information
- Contributing to sustainable, practical and energy-conscious design solutions
- Collaborating with engineers and wider project teams on live building services projects
- Developing technical understanding of MEP Building Services design and project delivery
Requirements
The business is looking for an individual with the right attitude, willingness to learn and an interest in building services engineering. Suitable backgrounds may include:
- College leavers or graduates within Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction or related disciplines
- Apprentices or junior technicians looking to develop within MEP design
- Individuals currently working within construction who are interested in moving into Building Services Engineering
Skills & Experience
- An interest in MEP Building Services, BIM and sustainable building design
- Some exposure to Revit, AutoCAD or technical design software would be beneficial but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach
- Interest in sustainable and low-carbon building design
