An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a Building Services (MEP) team based in Nottingham. This role sits within a multidisciplinary consultancy delivering engineering, environmental and infrastructure solutions across the UK and internationally.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, coordination and delivery of mechanical building services systems across multiple project stages. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with electrical engineers, BIM technicians and other disciplines to deliver coordinated mechanical design solutions.
- Leading the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, cooling and ventilation.
- Coordinating mechanical design with electrical, public health, structural and architectural teams.
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction.
- Working within a BIM environment using Autodesk Revit in collaboration with technicians.
- Attending client and design team meetings representing the mechanical discipline.
- Assisting with project planning, resource management and delivery to programme and budget.
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Proven experience in mechanical design within a Building Services (MEP) consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building services design principles.
- Experience working across multiple project stages.
- Ability to deliver projects independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using BIM and Autodesk Revit.
- Experience within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
