Managing Director Designate – HVAC & Air Conditioning Systems Location: Surrey Area Annual Turnover: £1.5m–£2.5m Project Values: £5k–£800k A well-established HVAC and air conditioning business in Surrey is seeking a talented and ambitious professional ready to step up into a leadership role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical, design, and project management experience who is ready to take ownership and grow into a senior management position. Role Overview The successful candidate will take on increasing responsibility for the business, with guidance and support, and gradually assume full leadership. This is a hands-on role, blending operational oversight, design involvement, and team leadership. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the development and execution of the company’s strategy and business growth. Overseeing projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality delivery, on time and within budget. Providing technical design input, including HVAC system design and AutoCAD drawings. Assisting with financial management, including monitoring budgets, project costs, and profitability. Leading and mentoring a small team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to support business development. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety practices. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who: Has a background in HVAC, air conditioning, or building services design and project management.
