A well established architecture and design practice is looking for an Architectural Technologist, or Technical Architect to join the industrial team. The studio works on a steady mix of Design & Build projects for well known clients and has a friendly, supportive atmosphere. They’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking responsibility and who enjoys being involved in every stage of a project. In this role, you’ll run your own projects and act as the main point of contact for everyone involved. You’ll help keep information organised, support the delivery team and make sure projects progress smoothly from initial design through to completion. This is a good opportunity for someone who wants more ownership, variety and day to day involvement in decision making. The practice offers a stable workload, a chance to build deeper sector experience and the freedom to work with autonomy while still having a team around you for support.

Responsibilities
  • Lead industrial projects through all RIBA stages
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors
  • Manage and coordinate design information
  • Produce and update technical drawings and BIM models in Revit
  • Take part in project meetings and follow up on actions
  • Ensure technical and regulatory requirements are met
  • Support the team with day-to-day delivery tasks
Requirements
  • Experience running projects from start to finish
  • Strong Revit skills and good understanding of BIM is a mandatory requirement
  • Confident communicator able to work with different stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a Design & Build environment
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Industrial project experience is helpful but not essential
  • Able to work independently and within a team
