An exciting opportunity for an Architect to join a well-established practice in Exmouth, with potential offices in Exeter in the near future. This local practice recently merged with a global multidisciplinary construction company. The design-led consultancy is aggressively expanding and offers a range of services from architectural to construction management and planning, while maintaining excellent staff retention.
Offering a variety of sectors including leisure parks, residential housing developments, sports and leisure, and commercial/industrial, this supportive small company provides all the benefits of working for a large multi-disciplinary firm. This role would suit an Architect who enjoys the design stages and will primarily work on residential projects. You’ll have the opportunity for professional growth and career development in a friendly, sociable, and supportive setting.
The Role:- Lead and manage architectural projects from concept through to completion.
- Produce high-quality design and technical drawings in line with UK Building Regulations and planning requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities to ensure project delivery meets design intent and statutory obligations.
- Oversee project programmes, budgets, and resources, maintaining efficiency and quality throughout.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress reviews, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards.
- Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and visual materials for client and stakeholder meetings.
- Stay informed of industry trends, sustainability practices, and emerging design technologies.
5 – 10 years post-qualification UK based in practice experience. Revit software skills are preferred but not mandatory. AutoCAD skills are required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team and independently are essential. Previous project sector experience in residential is preferred.
