Working with a talented team of Chartered, mid-level and graduate engineers, a client of ours is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, experienced Civil Engineer to lead the Civils Team in the Derby Office.

Working on a broad range of projects, this high-performing team of professionals is looking for an engineer who aspires to work on a diverse and challenging range of projects, incorporating bespoke new build, refurbishment, and heritage works.

The Role:

  • Providing high-quality concept, preliminary and detailed technical design on projects requiring highway and drainage design.
  • Carrying out a range of drainage calculations, including QBar, attenuation storage, and soakaway sizing, foul loads, pipeline capacities and network analysis for a range of drainage applications.
  • Carrying out a range of adoptable and non-adoptable highway, driveway, car parking, and footpath structural pavement designs for a range of permeable and non-permeable surfaces.
  • Overseeing the preparation of S104, S106 and S185 application forms and associated packages for submission to the Drainage Authority and Planning Authority.
  • Report writing, e.g. Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategy Reports, etc.
  • Selling, marketing and business development of new and existing clients and being alert to new leads.
