The Role
An established Building Services consultancy based in Southampton is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support delivery of a major high-rise residential tower project in central London. This is a contract position focused on detailed design delivery at RIBA Stage 3, with a strong pipeline into Stage 4. You will be joining a technically strong, design-led engineering team working across residential, leisure and hotel elements on a complex, high-profile scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical building services design through RIBA Stage 3 and into Stage 4
- Deliver detailed designs for HVAC, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, plant and controls
- Coordinate with electrical, public health and sustainability disciplines
- Produce calculations, specifications and technical documentation
- Support design team meetings and client engagement
- Ensure compliance with current UK standards and regulations
Key Requirements
- Strong background in mechanical building services consultancy
- Experience delivering high-rise residential and mixed-use projects
- Solid understanding of RIBA Stage 3 and 4 design deliverables
- Confident working within coordinated, multi-disciplinary design teams
- BIM experience desirable
