Joining a people Gold employer, who value, train and support their staff! A reputable business who deliver mixed tenure housing across multiple sites throughout the south west, are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, to manage a large volume scheme in Dorset. Based on site you will attend the Exeter office at least once per week.

As the site based Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial control of your own project, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, dealing with all elemental reconciliations and cash flow forecasts. You will manage cost control procedures, contributing to effective cash management, completing all of sub-contractor administration and identifying and managing risk of the development.

You will be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in housing/contracting. You will be knowledgeable in measurements and valuations, final accounts and sub-contract management and orders, coupled with competency in COINS (ideally). Client-driven, with strong decision making and communication skills, candidates will be able to prioritise work against tight deadlines and sometimes conflicting priorities.

What’s needed:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor able to manage your own schemes
  • A strong housing background, either developer side or contracting
  • Volume experience would be desirable
  • Excellent IT skills and ideally COINS is desirable but not essential.
  • A team player who is also able to work well independently
  • Strong Commercial awareness
  • Detailed and thorough approach to work

  • Well organised and able to prioritise work
