The role sits within a building services team, delivering large-scale infrastructure schemes across defence, transport, healthcare, justice, commercial and public sector environments. A significant proportion of workload is within secure defence and critical national infrastructure, requiring robust technical leadership and design assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical building services design across all RIBA stages (0-7)
- Act as technical lead for LV systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, life safety systems, standby power and UPS systems
- Produce, review and approve electrical design deliverables including calculations, specifications and drawings
- Provide technical governance and ensure compliance with UK regulations, CIBSE guidance and internal standards
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams across complex projects
- Attend and lead client, stakeholder and design team meetings
- Support project delivery across secure and defence environments where applicable
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers
