Construction Site Assistant in Plymouth

Full-Time £12.71 per hour

Monday – Friday | 7:30am – 5:00pm

Are you looking for your first role within the construction industry? Are you a recent college leaver, graduate, or someone keen to build a long-term career in construction and project support? We’re looking for a motivated and organised Site Administrator / Assistant to join a busy construction site team in Plymouth. No previous construction experience is required — just a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong organisational skills.

Duties:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the site team
  • Assisting Site Managers and Engineers with general site coordination
  • Supporting the Quantity Surveyor with measurements and take-offs
  • Learning how to check contractor measurements for accuracy
  • Coordinating and carrying out site inductions
  • Printing and distributing drawings to site teams
  • Maintaining site documentation, records, and filing systems
  • Assisting with timesheets, purchase orders, and invoice processing
  • Handling incoming calls and general correspondence
  • Updating spreadsheets and internal systems
  • Supporting health & safety documentation and compliance

About You

  • Keen to start a career in construction
  • Organised, reliable, and willing to learn
  • A strong communicator with good attention to detail
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Able to work well as part of a team and use their own initiative
  • Holding a full UK driving licence (preferred as you may move vehicles on site)
