A leading global infrastructure consulting firm is expanding its Building Services Electrical Engineering teams across Exeter and Plymouth, supporting a growing portfolio of complex UK and international projects. The role sits within a multidisciplinary environment, delivering work across defence, transport, healthcare, education, commercial and public sector estates. This is a design-focused role supporting full project lifecycle delivery from early concept through to detailed design and construction.

  • Support electrical building services design across RIBA Stages 0–7
  • Assist in the design of LV distribution systems, lighting, emergency lighting, fire detection, small power and associated services
  • Undertake engineering calculations including load assessments, cable sizing and lighting design
  • Produce technical drawings, schematics, specifications and design reports using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Support coordination with architects, structural engineers and other MEP disciplines
  • Attend design meetings and assist with technical queries during project delivery
  • Support site inspections and respond to technical queries during construction
  • Assist in the development of BIM and digital design workflows

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in building services design (consultancy preferred). Understanding of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and BS standards. Experience with Revit / AutoCAD advantageous. Security Clearance eligibility advantageous due to defence-related projects. Structured professional development (IET / CIBSE pathways). Hybrid working environment. Long-term secured project pipeline.
