Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor Cornwall Site Based Permanent A well-known housing development business are looking to recruit for an established senior quantity surveyor or will considered a capable project quantity surveyor. Specialising in mixed tenure housing projects, you will ideally have a proven housing background, the client is open to construction build backgrounds also. Duties: Attend design, pre-start and project meetings, identifying commercial risks, opportunities and cost implications. Review contract documentation, drawings and specifications to identify errors, omissions and potential cost exposures. Manage procurement activities, including tender enquiries, subcontractor selection, negotiations and order placement. Work closely with internal departments to provide input throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare budgets, cost plans, tender analysis and construction cost forecasts. Negotiate subcontract packages, manage variations and agree final accounts. Monitor project costs, cash flow, valuations and financial performance, ensuring projects remain within budget and forecast targets. Produce monthly commercial reporting including CVRs, margin analysis, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reporting.
