We’re working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Birmingham who are looking to recruit a CAD Technician focused on Highway Design, to support the delivery of highway and transport infrastructure projects across both the public and private sectors.
The Role
- Assisting in the design and delivery of highway schemes to local and national standards
- Producing drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation
- Supporting senior engineers with project delivery, including programme and financial reporting
- Preparing reports, schedules and cost estimates
- Working collaboratively with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders
- Managing assigned tasks to agreed budgets and deadlines
About You
- Previous experience in a highway or transport engineering environment
- Strong working knowledge of CAD software
- Familiarity with UK highway standards and design processes
- Organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple tasks
- A team player with good communication skills
