An award-winning, multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an Architectural Technician to join its Exeter studio. This role is ideal for someone with around 2+ years’ experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and well structured practice.
With over 50 years of operation and an excellent reputation for staff retention, the practice offers a stable environment with strong mentoring and clear development pathways. Projects span residential, education, healthcare and commercial sectors, providing a broad technical grounding early in your career.
The Role & Responsibilities:
Supporting Architects and Technologists with the production of technical drawings and construction information
Assisting with planning applications and Building Regulations submissions
Producing drawings, details, plans, sections and schedules under guidance
Coordinating basic technical information with consultants and internal teams
Attending site visits and assisting with responses to technical or site queries
Supporting the preparation of NBS specifications
Working within agreed quality standards, deadlines and project procedures
Requirements:
2+ years’ experience working as an Architectural Technician within a UK practice
Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
Strong technical drawing xiskglj skills and good attention to detail
Some experience or understanding of Building Regulations and construction processes
Keen to learn, develop and progress professionally
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
