An award-winning, multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an Architectural Technician to join its Exeter studio. This role is ideal for someone with around 2+ years' experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and well-structured practice. With over 50 years of operation and an excellent reputation for staff retention, the practice offers a stable environment with strong mentoring and clear development pathways. Projects span residential, education, healthcare and commercial sectors, providing a broad technical grounding early in your career.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Architects and Technologists with the production of technical drawings and construction information
- Assisting with planning applications and Building Regulations submissions
- Producing drawings, details, plans, sections and schedules under guidance
- Coordinating basic technical information with consultants and internal teams
- Attending site visits and assisting with responses to technical or site queries
- Supporting the preparation of NBS specifications
- Working within agreed quality standards, deadlines and project procedures
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience working as an Architectural Technician within a UK practice
- Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
- Strong technical drawing skills and good attention to detail
- Some experience or understanding of Building Regulations and construction processes
- Keen to learn, develop and progress professionally
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
