We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on an initial 4-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys a varied workload and is confident supporting both transactional finance and payroll processes. You will join a collaborative team of five and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations.
The Role
- Supporting the Accounts Payable process and maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with payroll preparation and carrying out payroll checks to ensure accuracy
- Providing ad hoc finance and administrative support as required
- Working extensively with Microsoft Excel to maintain reports and analyse data
- Supporting wider finance activities across the department
- Assisting with reconciliations and resolving finance queries
- Ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining a high level of accuracy
About You
- Previous experience within Accounts Payable, Finance Administration, or a similar finance support role
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a busy team environment
