The Role
We are recruiting for an exciting Trainee Quantity Surveyor opportunity with a leading construction and fit-out organisation. This role is perfect for a motivated individual looking to gain hands-on experience in quantity surveying and commercial management. Working alongside experienced surveyors, you will be involved in cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting on a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with cost estimation, budget preparation, and tender submissions
- Supporting the preparation of valuations, payments, and final accounts
- Assisting with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintaining accurate project records and reports
- Learning to interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications
- Supporting senior team members in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
About You
- Educated to degree level in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related subject (or due to graduate this year)
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn with a genuine interest in construction and quantity surveying
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills
- IT literate (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Full UK driving licence
