An established civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to strengthen its regional delivery team across the South West. This is a senior operational role with responsibility for overseeing multiple highways and civil engineering projects, leading project delivery teams and working closely with commercial, planning and pre-construction functions. You will take responsibility for successful project delivery while developing strong client relationships and supporting future work-winning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple civil engineering and highways projects across the region
- Lead and support Project Managers and site delivery teams
- Take responsibility for programme, quality, safety and overall project performance
- Work collaboratively with commercial, planning and pre-construction teams
- Develop strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners
- Support tendering and future work-winning opportunities
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective measures where required
- Identify opportunities for continued growth across existing and future projects
- Drive best practice and continuous improvement across project teams
About You
- Previous experience at Contracts Manager level within civil engineering, highways or infrastructure
- Strong operational delivery background
- Experience overseeing multiple projects and project teams
- Good commercial and contractual awareness
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- Strong leadership, communication and client-facing skills
- SMSTS
- Full UK driving licence
