Senior Project / Package Manager

An International Civil Engineering Main Contractor currently has an opportunity for a Project Manager / Package Manager to lead a M&E Section of work for a live project.
Projects include M&E, Rail, Highways, Utilities & Infrastructure amongst many more.
The main focus of the role will be to manage the team during the pre-construction, construction and subsequent phases of the project over the next 5 years.
You will be leading from the front on any sites that are behind in schedule as well as being an ambassador for Site Safety.
Due to the nature of the projects, experience of managing subcontracts including designers, M&E and/or civil works experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the team to ensure all roles are clearly communicated
- Ensure all staff and parties understand their responsibilities and accountabilities
- Set up procedures to ensure that all safety documentation is collated and retained
- Complete weekly & monthly reports using the Project programmes
- Responsibility of plant management / best use of machinery
- Manage sites to ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with the method statements
- Ensure the Projects remain on target and take action as required to rectify problems
- Set up processes to ensure the site team effectively manage all site reporting
- Cost estimates for sections of work and for arranging works to meet an established budget.
Qualifications:
- M&E and/or civil works experience is essential
- Design, installation and commissioning of M&E systems and power infrastructure
- Civil works, including:
- Steel frame building design and construction for power infrastructure
- RC works such as cover slabs and beams
- Site services such as utilities and drainage
