We’re seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join an established contractor and play a vital role in the commercial success of high-profile projects across sectors including education, healthcare, leisure, defence, commercial, and more.
About the Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of both pre- and post-contract responsibilities, ensuring accurate cost control, robust commercial management and successful project delivery.
You will:
- Manage high-value projects independently
- Oversee cost monitoring, CVRs, and monthly reporting
- Prepare Bills of Quantities and procurement packages
- Manage subcontractors—financially and contractually
- Conduct site visits, attend progress meetings and ensure commercial compliance
- Support the delivery of accurate financial reporting and project profitability
- Handle final accounts and protect the company’s commercial interests
About You
We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor with the drive to succeed and the confidence to lead.
Ideally you will have:
- Experience working with a main contractor
- Strong background in design & build projects
- Demonstrable experience managing multimillion-pound schemes
- HNC, degree, or equivalent qualification in construction / Quantity Surveying
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (and ideally Project)
- A full, valid UK driving licence
- Experience resolving disputes and completing final accounts
