We’re working with a valued client, a leading multi-disciplinary development consultancy to recruit a Principal Highway Engineer for their growing Bristol office.

This is a key opportunity to take the lead on technically challenging and high-profile highway projects across a range of sectors including residential, education, energy, and commercial development.

About you

We’re looking for a skilled engineer with a strong highways background, confident leading projects and delivering high quality solutions.

What you’ll bring:

• BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
• 6+ years’ post-grad experience (IEng/CEng or working towards)
• Proven ability to lead medium to major highway infrastructure schemes
• Experience managing workloads, mentoring team members, and acting as technical lead
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civils 3D (or similar)
• Strong grasp of S278 applications and adoptable highway design
• Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, and local authority design standards
• Drainage experience in a highway setting (desirable)
• Experience with drainage design tools (e.g. Causeway Flow) is a plus
