We are partnering with a well-established medium-to-large engineering consultancy that is continuing to grow its Civil Engineering team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil CAD / BIM Technician to join a collaborative and technically strong team, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, data centre, and wider building sectors.
As a Civil CAD / BIM Technician, you will play a key role in the production and coordination of high-quality civil engineering drawings and models, supporting the successful delivery of projects from concept through to construction.
- Produce Civil 3D models, drawings, and technical details for below-ground drainage, external works, and level designs.
- Support design coordination with external architects, MEP consultants, and contractors.
- Follow established BIM standards, workflows, and project protocols to ensure consistency and quality across project deliverables.
- Prepare general arrangement drawings, sections, details, and schedules for a variety of building projects.
Ideally 5+ years’ experience in a similar Civil CAD, BIM, or Technician role.
Proficient in Civil 3D and experienced in producing civil engineering drawings and models.
Strong understanding of drainage, external works, and infrastructure design packages.
Comfortable working within multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating with external stakeholders.
